About the author
The Prestidigitator was born and brought up far away from the country that he calls his own today. He blames his lack of patriotism on this particular facet of his life. He grew up with a fascination for many things but couldn’t find anything that he was truly passionate about and so is perpetually in search of that ‘one thing’ that could bring meaning to his otherwise mundane (or so he thinks) life. But, little does he know, that the only thing that truly makes him happy is the search/quest in itself. He also believes/hopes that one day he’ll be able to direct a movie. He believes it so much that he actually spent a year and half of his life (in parts at least) trying to come up with a screenplay called ‘Quo Vadis’ which he strongly asserts is not autobiographical. He’s lying.
He has had various interests over the years but these days he is fascinated by stories/books/movies/music that deal with existential angst. His friends have ridiculed his obsession with the film, Garden State. Nonetheless, The Prestidigitator maintains that this is one of the very few movies he can relate to, but hopefully not for long.
Years down the line, he also hopes to go into alternate entrepreneurship or maybe even world domination. He has friends who apparently encourage his existence by listening to (or pretending to) his pointless musings. He is truly indebted to these people.
He has an amazing family as well, all of who are presently far away from him. His parents along with his bubbly little sister reside in Kuwait and his brother (crazier than The Prestidigitator himself) is doing a course in Physics at St Stephens, Delhi.
The Prestidigitator works for an Indian based software company in Melbourne and is currently involved with Natalie Portman.
