is this like the list of your favourite films?
Nah…I have a few more films to watch and I’ll be coming up with a list soon…
It’s strange, but I thought we had very similar tastes. But we only have two films in common in our respective lists - Taxi Driver and Citizen Kane.
So I see.
I’ve manged to rewatch a whole bunch of films in the last few months. Thinking of coming up with a newer list. The way I see it, the only way I can do justice is list them by genre. We’ll see.
Thats a good idea bro. I never thought of that…listing by genre. U and I will have the same film at the top of the “Best Action Movie” list.
The reviews for Cronenberg’s new film are out at Rottentomatoes. Looks extremely promising. Viggo Mortensen and Naomi Watts. Wow!
Hey, did you hear about the new Al Pacino+Robert DeNiro film called Righteous Kill?

This is the part where i interrupt by shouting Geeks!!!
@Baphomet I’m pretty psyched about Eastern Promises. I loved History of Violence. And I was really looking forward to Righteous Kill but then…50 Cents in it! *groan*
@swen This is me not giving a crap!
hey thats a neat list bro. i was surprised to see Nizhalkuthu in your non-english section. and i was right about the film at the top of your ‘action’ list. if and when i make a genre based list, Ultimatum would top ‘action’ and Children Of Men would top ’sci-fi’.
i am working on trying to re-sort and fine tune my list a bit more. it will take a while. i’ll let you know when I am done. I wont be sorting genre wise just yet because for some reason, i will never be satisfied with the sort.
anyways, loved your list bro. your ‘Mind F*ck’ is a very interesting genre.
@Swen: Nerd!
what the hell is this Mindf**k ?
I so agree with all the movies in the category “Mindf*ck”, esp. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I LOVE that movie so much.
Your underrated movies are also just that- underrated. Eyes Wide Shut was really good, very different from the other Kubrick movies though. I loved Nicole Kidman in that movie. Did you watch The Invasion?
@Ruhi I watched EWS around 3 times and every single time, I’m amazed at how well some scenes have been shot…plus Tom Cruise is brilliant nevermind how much of a psycho he’s in real life.
Also, if you liked Motorcycle Diaries, I’m sure you’ll like Cuaron’s Y Tu Mama Tambien…one of my favorites.
Dude,
lol
Am so glad to see someone else who’s seen monty python other than me and has heard of it!
So I say “Ni”
@deepfried You will Love Life of Brian (Monty Python again) in that case. The final track,”Always look on the bright side”…genius!
Natalie Portman is going to direct of a film bro. READ THIS!!!
Dude,
Just noticed that neither Slacker nor Clerks are on the list. An oversight???
@DR You know…I’m not particularly proud of the list. Too many omissions. And yes…I loved Slacker. Much more than Clerks.
You’ve got great taste in movies!
